I happen to have a USB voltage meter, so tried a few experiments, plugging it into a 1 amp, 2 amp, and QC (quick charge) socket. With Cord 1, the Fire 10 was drawing .3 amps .. .6 amps on the 2amp and QC. Finally switched cords.
